Important Info for AGM and Lockdown 2

You’ve all seen the news that Melbourne is re-entering lockdown for 6 weeks as at midnight tonight (8th July).

That means of course that our Club will be closed for this period.

Will we be allowed to train in small groups or individually?
At this stage I can’t give a definitive answer so for now – all greens will be CLOSED to everyone from tomorrow. If we get other advice we will let you know and reinstate the online booking system.

What’s going to happen with the AGM?
The AGM will proceed at 2:00pm on Sunday 19th July. This will be an online meeting for all people eligible to vote utilising the Zoom video conferencing platform.

Voting for contested Committee and Selection roles will be by electronic Postal Vote. Paper ballots will be issued to those who do not have an email address. Electronic Postal Votes will be sent to your email address this Friday morning. If you don’t have it by midday Friday, check your Spam folder before contacting me. All Postal Votes must be lodged by 5:00pm on Wednesday 15th July. Results will be announced at the meeting.

The last item on the Agenda is General Business where you get the opportunity to ask questions from the floor. This will be difficult to manage on Zoom if there are a large number of participants. If you have questions you would like to ask Committee, please send them by email to The Secretary ( Depending on the nature of the question, we will respond to them in the meeting or personally. Of course, we will welcome any questions after the meeting.

The Committee planned for this eventuality and are well progressed to make this online meeting happen.

How do I get Zoom and what do I need?
